A Ghost shell is a piece of Guardian equipment which changes the appearance of the owner's Ghost. In year 1, only two ghost shells were available- a basic shell given to all newly created guardians, and a red shell only available as part of the Destiny Ghost Edition. With the release of The Taken King, a large number of additional ghost shells became available.
