Kanassarum was a city state that was situated at the foothills of the greatest mountain range on the planet Romulus. It was the mountains that had been the source of the city's glory as they provided the scant resources required to make the first voyages to the sister world of Remus. This resulted in the city becoming the Romulan Confederations first space center and meant that the other states abandoned space programs so that all the Romulan's people efforts were concentrated at one position.
