Tennessee is one of the 50 states of the United States. Tennessee and most of the southern United States is fairly conservative, so, as always, being respectful is a must for any hitchhiker. Most of the people down here are some of the nicest folks around. The few that aren't are everywhere, though, not just in Tennessee. Musicians are greatly appreciated here. Street performing, especially country-related, is a great way to generate revenue for your hitchhiking experience.
