Despite public backlash against its cruel handling of chickens and its determination to retain trans-fats and high fructose corn syrup which were vital for its delicious recipes, it retained a dominate position in the flyby hyperspace drive-through restaurant chain market. Prior to the Battle of Yavin its primary shareholder with 37% of stock was Jek Porkins. During Imperial hegemony, Kuati Fried Chicken was absorbed into the Imperial Security Bureau, but following the Battle of Endor and the collapse of the Empire it regained autonomy and returned to its historic rivalry with the Intergalactic House of Pancakes.
