The Alliance's cruiser dropped out of hyperspace and droid starfighters that had been clinging to its hull were able to launch instantaneously. Battle droids were launched in to the ISD's hangar via catapaults and Vulture droids simply flew in unchecked. The Imperials barley had time to launch four starfighters before they found themselves being boarded by a large number of battle droids. The droids were accompanied by three organic commanders, who provided continuously updating orders for the droids to follow. While a firefight raged on the hangar floor, several B1 battle droids sneaked behind Imperial lines and rescued the POW, all the while downloading all of the scientific data the empire had on the ship. The droids returned unscathed, and were awarded medals of honor after the battle.
