The burkaninjas are a mysterious people inhabiting Louisaland, having, according to their own tales, sprung fully-formed from a hole (or cave; translations vary) in the black benighted soil of some unspecified islands in the northern hemisphere. They largely evaded connections with the world until approached by the eminent diplomat Helsbecter of Da Swamp.
