Barrayarans during the time of Shards of Honor were fond of carrying various kinds of good luck charm. Some of the known types were: * Mothers Tear Charm. Made as a locket containing a small chamber with a person's mother's actual tears. * Death Locks. A lock of some person's hair taken on the occasion of their death. These may simply be for remembrance rather than good luck. * Skeleton of a human fetus. This may not have been a standard charm.
