The Harvesting Beam Cannon is a weapon used by the Phazon Harvester Drone. It can be a nuisance to Samus as she traverses Phazon Harvesting. The beam cannon targets the location of Samus or the bridge on which she will move next, to either hit her, or destroy the bridges above the bottom of the room. The cannon highlights an area with a white reticule, and when about to fire, the reticule turns red, before the HUD flashes white and whatever area is damaged or destroyed. Fortunately for Samus, she will usually be able to jump over them with the Space Jump Boots, or there will be a Grab Ledge exposed for her use.
