"50 Ways to Leave Your Lover" is a song written and recorded by Paul Simon, and included on Simon's album Still Crazy After All These Years. Released in December 1975, the song—about a promiscuous woman's humorous advice to a man wanting to leave his wife—became a major pop hit, spending three weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 in early 1976. On The Muppet Show, "50 Ways ... " was sung by Floyd and Janice in episode 511. They were backed by Animal on drums and Rizzo the Rat on cymbals.
