Bestrum algae was an aquatic species of algae native to the planet Baralou. It was harvested with sealed aquapods and processed into food. One of the harvesting plants on the planet, Aqualis Base, was actually a front for the Alliance to Restore the Republic, which was supplied with many foodstuffs made from the algae.
