The unnamed Registrar officiated at the wedding of Liam Connor and Maria Sutherland at the Douglas Hall Hotel on 11th February, 2008. Upon arrival at the venue, Maria had major doubts about whether she could go through with the wedding and whilst outside sorting things out with Liam, the registrar informed the gathering that the bride and groom requested their patience for a little while longer. Eventually deciding to go ahead with the ceremony, the rest of the formalities went smoothly.
