Fenric is the name for Hastur in the universe of Doctor Who. Originally an unconnected Great Old One-like being in the story 'The Curse of Fenric', named for the great wolf Fenrir in Norse myth, it was identified as Hastur in the New Adventures novel All-Consuming Fire. Although their depictions are not that similar, the use of human bloodlines - the Wolves of Fenric - as pawns to free himself is similar to the use of bloodlines such as the Atheling Family in The Dream-Leech. He brought The Great Haemovore back in time from a polluted future to serve him. The Doctor's companion, Ace, who is discovered to be one of the 'Wolves of Fenric' also appears in The Death of Art, a New Adventures novel.
