The Okinomiya Police Station first appears in the first season of Higurashi no Naku koro ni, episode 3 and it's located in Okinomiya, the neighbour city of Hinamizawa. The building is very large and has many workers and departments like the Department of Public Safety, in works of Hondaya. The building has three floors. The workers often seen in the station while they're investigating the cases of mysterious deaths in Hinamizawa, including Ōishi Kuraudo, a police officer who is close to retirement. Apparently, he loves his work and the resolution of cases. Kumagai Katsuya and Kumatani also works here and support the police station.
