Staver (pronounced stay-ver), "born" Staver-Maker-Of-War, or uncommonly known as "The Sentient" is a Forerunner Monitor who once held a powerful position within the Ecumene Council and was commissioned to be created in a secret operation by Master Builder Faber. Staver was intended to be an overseer of the Builder caste but soon revoked the proposal and became Faber's colleague. He was one of the most advanced Ancilla within his time period, but lesser than the superior 032 Mendicant Bias later.
