Johanne Svensson (née Pedersen Holm; 24 January 1892 – 29 May 2003) was a verified Danish-Swedish supercentenarian. She was born in the Danish city of Aarhus. She worked as a teacher back in Denmark. Johanne was 47 years old when she moved to Sweden. The reason was that she met a Swedish carpenter named Axel Svensson in 1938 and married him the next year. They never had any children together. Johanne learned to swim when she was 87 years old. She credited her longevity to good genes, eating lots of fruit and never smoking.
