Alenis Grem was a female Bajoran who worked for the Bajoran Central Archives. In 2371, Alenis was researching the Elemspur detention center in a study for the Bajoran Central Archives. The salvaged Cardassian records indicated that Kira Nerys was held in Elemspur for seven days ten years earlier, so Alenis contacted Kira for information. When Kira later disappeared before meeting with Alenis on Bajor, Alenis contacted Benjamin Sisko on Deep Space 9.
