Mr Weaver was the Council Building Inspector who met Len Fairclough in the burnt-out shell of 14 Coronation Street and told him that his inspection had shown that the fire had exposed structural faults in the maisonettes which meant that they would have to be demolished. The character was also credited on Episode 1049 (3rd February 1971) even though he doesn't appear, along with Valerie Barlow, Peter Barlow, Susan Barlow, the Station Officer and Divisional Officer.
