A stun shield was a non-lethal short-range weapon that consisted of a sheet of clear plastoid. The shield was held from behind and an electrical charge would be fed through the perimeter and the center of the shield. When held against a target, the charge would be released, stunning the target. The Special Response Team of the Bedacus-Lambrecht Correctional Facility on Coruscant used stun shields to subdue unruly inmates.
