The Shala'b Pulsar is located in the , almost precisely halfway between the boundaries of the and the Roocaria Expanse. It has been used as a natural navigational beacon by Telian pilots, especially for long distance space travel, for a number of years, mostly due to its very stable period and powerful magnetic bursts.
