Riverton is a town in Dragon Quest IV, located on the island to the far south. Since the island is mostly surrounded by shoal and mountain ranges, it can only be entered at the mouth of the river via Riverton. One cannot reach the village without a ship, and, unusually, the ship can enter the village. One of the inhabitants is researching balloon technology, and will give the party his first prototype if they bring him a jerry can of oil.
