Yresk was one of Helena Richese's old retainers from Richese; he followed her to Caladan where he worked as a Stablemaster for Duke Paulus Atreides. In the inquiry following the duke's murder by a bull which had been tampered with, Yresk was questioned, but he failed to survive the interrogation.
