The Dimensional Lance is pivotal for agents of Heaven when hunting Hellspawn. While a Hellspawn are protected by a carapace (K7-Myrlu or K3-Myrlu), when the lance is close enough it will setup a dimensional resonance that can destroy the Hellspawn. When Spawn wrestled the Lance away from Angela, he touched it triggering an alternate dimensional experience where he met other comic characters who were imprisoned by their comic companies.
