The M572 Armored Mortar Carrier is a United States Colonial Marine Corps vehicle based upon the same chassis as the M577 Armored Personnel Carrier. It is armed with a M402 Multiple-Launch Mortar, along with over two hundred rounds of ammunition stored in ten-round rotary magazines. Automated systems on the M572 can reload the mortar in under six seconds.
