The Gray Wave were a band of Mantis mercenaries who worked for the Crane. During the Clan War they were ambushed by an undead Crab unit, and their captain was killed. A young samurai named Kamoto who had barely passed his gempukku rallied them however, and led them to several other victories afterwards. Later during the war they joined the ronin army of Toturi the Black, the Toturi's Army.
