In 1903 PD, Jason Alvarez held the rank of Commander and was commanding officer of HMS Madrigal. He was ordered by Admiral Raoul Courvosier to help the Grayson Space Navy during the First Battle of Yeltsin's Star. During the battle, Alvarez gave Commodore Wesley Matthews of GNS Covington vital information about the Masadan fleet. He then ordered Madrigal to cover Covington's retreat.
