Lestrade respects Sherlock a great deal, and he is notably the only member of his team who Sherlock gets along, with the others (Sally Donovan, in particular) convinced that he's a psychopath. Moriarty has described him as one of Sherlock's only three friends in the world. He is portrayed by Rupert Graves.
