Henry J. Lange Jr. was the producer and unit production manager on My Name is Earl. He also portrayed Ernie Belcher in Season 4, the former owner of the Crab Shack who mysteriously disappeared. He was uncredited for this role. He appeared in The Stoner Files special feature on the Season 2 DVD. In the feature the other crew members explain that he practically holds the show together, with Marc Buckland stating that he "gives us all we need to make the show". Other television shows he has worked on include The Jake Effect, Cybill, Tucker and Brothers. The character Hank Lange was named after him.
