Baal-Zephon refers to a Hellenite deity and to a place named in the Hebrew Bible. The first one was a god also known as Zeus Kasios and was the god of Mount Aqraa, thunderbolts, the sea and was a protector of maritime trade. Regarding the place, it was named in the Book of Exodus as a place instructed by YHVH for the Israelites to hide and trick the Pharaoh into chasing them.
