Doug(VNEM029) was born in December 2010 in the Nequoia Mob. His mother was Kikka and his father was an unknown rover. Doug's litter-mates were VNEM027, Wasabi(VNEM028) and Mr. Mumbles(VNEM030). Their mother was not the dominant female but his aunt Kaluha. She had no pups of her own so she allowed the litter to survived. The following month Wasabi disappeared and was thought to have been predated, however Doug's brother returned in February. Doug's mother Kikka was pregnant again andgave birth in March to three pups. Doug was barely three months old so he could not help his mother out with the new pups. That same month Doug's brother VNEF027 was predated. Doug and his two remaining brothers survived to adulthood.
