Administrators (often referred to as Sysops) are a group of users who have more options than the average user. Such as being able to block a user or IP address, protect a page, editing MediaWiki messages, etc. Even though they can do more on the wiki, they do not have any extra power. For example, their votes counts as one, and their opinions are valued on the same level of average users. To become an administrator on the wiki, post a request on the requests for user rights page.
