Takao Shimizu is a video game designer who works at Nintendo. His first project at Nintendo was with the game Shin Onigashima for the NES. He later went on to work on Super Mario World, The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past, Star Fox, Super Mario Sunshine, Donkey Kong: Jungle Beat, and many others. One of his most notable projects is his direction on the game Star Fox 64 and his work on the 2007 Wii game Super Mario Galaxy. Currently he is the manager and producer of Nintendo EAD Software Tokyo Group 1.
