World Wrestling Entertainment, abbreviated WWE, is an eFederation based on the real-life WWE, but in an "alternate universe", essentially deviated from all real storyline and events that happened in WWE. This eFederation takes place immediately after WrestleMania X8, with the brand extension and the name change occurring right after. Everything before and during WrestleMania still happened, but after that, it's a "clean slate", with new superstars, titles, and storylines.
