Miss Maria Tapioca is the head cook of the kitchens at Cackle's Academy. She is often kind towards Mildred, especially when Mildred trades Tabby with Ebony, a normal black cat. Mrs Tapioca is depicted as being Italian, even to the point of cooking pizza behind Miss Cackle's back.
