He was then flown to the mainland in a helicopter by Ed Regis, who covered up his injuries as being caused by a construction accident, and attempted to find a doctor to take care of him. They eventually found Dr. Bobby Carter and her assistant, Manuel Aragón, who attempted to treat the injured worker. However, they were unable to save him, and the worker eventually died of his injuries. His body was then flown away in the helicopter.
