Power Playing is a term used in Mafia to denote the submission of an action to the host by a player who is not directly responsible for that action. Almost all power playing is done by players in the same faction and within the same BTSC. The ability to power play another is a strong benefit that streamlines strategy, especially in the event of inactivity.
