This Ain't the Rosedale Library is an independent bookstore in Toronto, Ontario, in the Church and Wellesley neighbourhood. This Ain't the Rosedale Library was opened in 1979 by Charles Huisken, and Daniel Bazuin became co-owner in 1981. 2006 marks its 20th anniversary at 483 Church Street. It is a general interest bookstore, although specialties include local writers, small presses, zines, chapbooks, nontraditional fiction and poetry, graphic novels, biographies, and especially countercultural nonfiction. Located in the middle of the queer/trans village, it also specializes in books for the community. The upstairs Gallery is a hotspot for art shows, workshops, performances, lectures, and launches.
