The Galactic Resistance, also known simply as the Resistance, or Resistance Rangers, is a military coalition that was formed to oppose the Protectorate and defend neutral space from Protectorate invasion. It was intially comprised of hijacked star cruisers and super carriers from the decommissioned fleet of the Merchant Defense Forces - now defunct, and supplemented by a number of small frigates and personal attack freighters that comprised the Resistance Regulars, prior to their conversion into the Rangers.
