This base was built by the USS Franklin's Captain, Balthazar Edison after it crash-landed on Altamid in 2164. The base was constructed by a drone workforce and ships that were left behind by the indigenous race, which were discovered by Edison, who renamed himself "Krall". Along with Jessica Wolff and Anderson Le, who renamed themselves "Kalara" and "Manas", Krall used the encampment to hold prisoners from captured ships and used them for their Energy transference to prolong their lives for the next century.
