Luke Skywalker hid Biggs and Windy, Leia's two brothers, in hollowed out microcases, and put them into hibernation using a power pack from Kane Starkiller's chest cavity. The shell of the microcase resisted scanners, making it easier for Luke to get his companions to safety in them.
