The Chiaroscuro Trading System makes it possible for players to buy trade goods at cost from NPCs in various townships so that they can re-sell the goods to another NPC in a centralized location. In Fastheld, the centralized NPC is in the Market District. That trade merchant will buy any of the trade goods sold by the townships, but it only sells one thing: Influence vouchers. Those vouchers can be redeemed at an NPC in Lightholder Crossroads. Eventually your influence level, visible when you type +influence, will grant you access to special valuable cargo.
