Save the Dwarves is the third scenario of Roland's campaign in Heroes of Might and Magic II: The Succession Wars. It's optional, but will grant the player a dwarven alliance for all later scenarios in the campaign, which means that all neutral dwarf and battle dwarf stacks will join them when encountered. When Roland learned that Archibald was slaughtering dwarven villages on a quest for dwarven gold, he sent his commander to stop the attacks and protect their dwarven allies. In return, the dwarves pledged to assist Roland in his future endeavors, promising him their aid.
