Blind boxing is a term used to describe the packaging used for a wide variety of smaller Urban Vinyl. It means the box that the toy is packaged in doesn't have any clear plastic panels or holes to look in, so you can't see which toy in the assortment you're getting - you're going in blind. The practice is used primarily in Japan, where small toys dispensed from vending machines, or "gashapon", are packaged this way to promote collecting and trading among the kids that buy them. For adult toy collectors, it's often seen as a nuisance.
