The KV609-B engine battery cell was produced by Keizar-Volvec during the the Galactic War between the Galactic Republic and the Sith Empire. The KV609-B allowed starships to rapidly refill a portion of their engine power reserve, effectively permitting pilots to use boosters for extended periods.
