The Regnum Invictorum Controversy refers to period when Invicta's full official name was "Regnum Invictorum," a bastardized Latin term meaning "Realm of Invicta" or "Realm of the Undefeated." The change was brought about by Jorost as part of a rebranding campaign aimed at improving the alliance's image. Unfortunately, Jorost did not heed the advice of the many, many people who thought this was a bad idea, and instead plowed ahead with the single-mindedness of a crazy man bent on flying the starship right into the heart of the sun. The change took effect on 9 April 2010, and was met with the expected mocking on the OWF, where it quickly became Rectum Invictorum.
