Unorthodox boxing styles are methods of boxing that are alien to the sport. Boxers who apply these methods fall outside the triangle of in fighters, out boxers, and hybrids because they punch and utilize footwork differently from other boxers, though occasionally there is some overlap. Some boxers are even borderline illegal. (Aoki Masaru, for instance.) Not to be confused with Unorthodox Stance, which refers to boxing stances (ways of positioning the hands and feet) that are not orthodox.
