Jando Hald became the guard captain of Frostkeep after former guard captain, Hurack, were killed during the first battle of Frostkeep. Jando was first a scout, but quickly climbed the ranks in the Guard. He was also the lover of Evana Marlson, Duke Deron's sister. During the time as Guard Captain of Frostkeep, Jando has been involved in many events and has fought in several battles for Frostkeep. In his early days as guard captain, Jando thought the task of leading Frostkeep's armed forces a difficult task, and when the Temple of Helm were attacked by kobolds and cultists of Talona who took his lover Evana hostage, he almost collapsed in frustration and fear, not knowing what to do in such a situation.
