K. V. Mathew is a Biblical Scholar and a member of the scholarly Society for Biblical Studies in India, a Learned society, incorporating Biblical Scholars of the Protestant, Orthodox, Roman Catholic and Charismatic traditions. The Biblical languages, Hebrew, Aramaic and Greek were known to Prof. Mathew. It was Sigmund Mowinckel who was a significant Psalms Scholar. Prof. Mathew also researched on Psalms at the University of Edinburgh, Scotland.
