Cherry Street was a street in Hill Valley in 1955 It intersected Main Street before downtown from the direction of the starting line. After leaving Hill Valley High School following the dance, Marty made a practice run, in Doc's Packard, of the route he would have to travel in the DeLorean time machine. As he reached Cherry and Second, he found a rise in the road "that's almost like a speed bump". Fearing that "If I'd hit that at a higher speed, it could have sent me into a store window," he made a note that he would move to the left side of the road in order to avoid an accident.
