The Forensic Expert was called to take the witness stand at Weatherfield Crown Court during the trial of Tracy Barlow, accused of the murder of boyfriend Charlie Stubbs. When questioned by the Prosecuting Advocate, he stated that a man who had sustained two heavy blows to the head would not be able to retain a grip on his knife which would have been dropped as he fell to the floor in an unconscious state, and that the defendant had a cut in the palm of her left hand but no other injuries were present to indicate that a violent struggle had ensued between Tracy and Charlie on the evening of his death.
