Dusky Donovan was a prostitute working at The Pink Pearl under the management of Daniel Wales. She was forbidden from splicing, like all the other prostitutes. However, one of her customers, known only as Rupert, wanted her to "splice up in the act," claiming that it would heighten the experience for both of them. She was opposed to this idea, but an audio diary by Dusky Donovan can be found in a room of the Pink Pearl where the dead bodies of what is presumed to be Dusky and her customer can be found with hypos sticking out of them.
